Cubes (or parallelepipeds) are accessories for clamping material to be machined onto boring or milling machines with moving upright or gantry. They are made in G25 grey pearlitic structured lamellar cast iron and can be divided into two large categories:

1. Single-surface cubes are characterised by one single slot surface with two or more ribs positioned at right-angles to the work surface to make the structure more rigid by directing the applied forces onto the base; thanks to this type of design, interesting results are obtained from the point of view of weight since this component has a major impact on the final cost of the product.

2. Multi-surface cubes have from two to five slot surfaces with rigid-making ribbing system as described above.

The cubes can be customised in terms of size and supplied with 12-36 mm T-slots as in table DIN 650 with H7 and H12 tolerances.

The flatness of the work surfaces is identified by standard DIN 876 and the error of verticality of the various work surfaces compared with the basis is governed by DIN 875.
